Back to Africa is not just a novel; it is a vision and a reflection on what the future of Africa could be. Through the story of the creation of Kwetu—a modern, prosperous, and sustainable city in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo—I wanted to pay tribute to a continent rich in history, culture, and untapped potential.

Africa, often viewed through the lens of its challenges, is also a reservoir of solutions. In this novel, I wanted to explore a different path for Africa: one of reinvention. An Africa capable of overcoming its obstacles and building cities that are not only models of modernity but also symbols of sustainability, social justice, and equality.

Kwetu is more than just a city. It embodies the renaissance of the continent. An Africa that reclaims its resources, its know-how, and its destiny. A continent where African diasporas, through strategic investments, return to build the future, bring their expertise, and reconnect with their roots.

The characters in this novel, from various cultures and backgrounds, find themselves in a world where humanity and technology do not clash but complement each other. They struggle, innovate, and shape an Africa that, far from giving up, boldly embarks on building a future worthy of its dreams.

This book is for those who believe in collective strength, for those who see Africa as a space of creativity and initiative. It is a call to action, to reflection, and to the reinvention of our shared identity. I hope that through this story, readers will see, beyond fiction, a path toward a brighter future for Africa—an Africa that rewrites its own narrative.

Back to Africa is a tribute to the resilience of the African continent and its ability to reinvent itself. It is also an invitation to imagine what we could achieve together, if we set aside our divisions and choose to build a shared future—that of Africa.
