Chapter 1: The Spiritual World and God’s Binary System
Introduction to the Spiritual Structure of the Universe: Light vs. Darkness, Life vs. Death
The visible world we experience daily is only the surface of a far greater, deeper, and more decisive reality: the spiritual world. This world, though often ignored by carnal men, is the true matrix in which destinies, blessings, punishments, and life trajectories are decided.
The spiritual world does not operate according to human laws. It knows neither chance nor neutrality. It is governed by a fundamental principle that we may call the spiritual binary system. This system divides all that exists into two opposing camps: light and darkness, life and death, blessing and curse, justice and condemnation.
In this system, nothing is ever neutral. Every human being, every word, every act, every decision—even every silence—contributes to the activation of a spiritual decree or judgment. There is no gray zone in the invisible world. It is a sharp, binary, and absolute reality. Either an action draws God’s favor, or it triggers His rebuke or condemnation.
God is the architect of this spiritual reality. He has built a universe structured on unshakable spiritual laws. One of the foundations of this structure is found in His words to His people in Deuteronomy 30:19–20. This passage, which we will study, is the key to understanding the universal spiritual binary system.
Definition of the Binary System According to Deuteronomy 30:19–20
“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice, and holding fast to him.”
— Deuteronomy 30:19–20
In this solemn text, God presents a universal, eternal, and irrevocable principle: man is always placed before a spiritual choice, the consequences of which are not symbolic but real and immediate.
This is not merely a moral choice between good and evil, but a spiritual orientation between two opposing supernatural realities:
- Life or death
- Blessing or curse
- Obedience or rebellion
- Light or darkness
The spiritual world functions exactly like a binary circuit in technology: 0 or 1, nothing in between. Either you are aligned with God’s laws and automatically activate the blessings attached to light, or you deviate and fall under the influence of darkness and curses.
Therefore, man has an essential spiritual responsibility: the power to choose. But this power is not absolute; it is framed by God’s laws. Each choice triggers an automatic response in the spiritual world—a judgment or a decree, depending on what was done.
Thus, every human decision becomes a spiritual act with eternal consequences.
Origin of the Division: Blessing vs. Curse
The spiritual duality we observe today did not always exist. In the beginning, God created everything in harmony, light, and perfection. Evil, curse, and death were not original components of the divine plan.
However, with the fall of Lucifer (Ezekiel 28:13–17; Isaiah 14:12–15), and then that of Adam and Eve (Genesis 3), separation entered. These were the first great acts of rebellion against the divine will, and they opened a breach through which darkness penetrated the earthly spiritual system.
In Genesis 3, man chose disobedience. That choice immediately activated a heavenly decree, which God Himself pronounced:
- The serpent was cursed (Genesis 3:14)
- The woman would suffer pain and dependency (v.16)
- The man was condemned to painful labor and to return to dust (v.17–19)
This passage is fundamental because it reveals the spiritual mechanism in action:
- Disobedience
- Accusation (even silent)
- Judgment
- Decree (cursed)
- Physical, social, and spiritual consequences
Since that day, the curse has taken root as an active spiritual force on earth. It now coexists with divine blessing, which remains accessible through obedience, faith, and righteousness.
It is important to understand that blessing and curse are not merely religious words but spiritual forces activated in the invisible world and manifested in the physical world.
Man’s Spiritual Positioning: The Ongoing Choice
From birth, every human being enters an unspoken spiritual battle. He inherits a collective decree (Adam’s fall), but he can also, through faith in Christ, enter into another decree—the blessing of Abraham, sealed by the blood of the Cross.
This positioning is not automatic. It is made through a daily and ongoing choice. Man can be:
- Positioned in the light through obedience, sanctification, and communion with God
- Or drift into darkness through negligence, repeated sin, or spiritual indifference
Some practical examples:
- A young man may be born in a Christian family and receive prayers of blessing, but if he chooses to live in sin, he activates an opposing decree.
- A witch may curse a family, but if one member truly converts, he can invoke Christ’s decree and annul the curse.
- A nation may be under a collective decree of judgment (drought, war, instability), but intercessors can reposition that nation under divine favor.
Spiritual positioning is therefore never fixed. It is influenced by each individual’s behavior, alliances, words, and choices.
Chapter Conclusion
The spiritual world operates according to invisible but rigorous laws, grounded in choice and consequence. As a man or woman living on earth, you are at the center of this spiritual battle.
Each day, every thought, every word, every act aligns you with one of the two poles of the spiritual binary system:
- Either you activate blessing
- Or you activate curse
The good news is that God has given you the ability to choose. He invites you, just as He did Israel, to choose life, blessing, light, and righteousness.
But He also warns you: the opposite choice exists, and its consequences are serious—often generational.
In the following chapters, we will explore how this system produces supernatural judgments, how decrees are pronounced in the spiritual realms, and above all, how we can, through faith in Jesus Christ, revoke evil decrees and enter into the inheritance of the saints.
